AEERR Project co-financed by Erasmus+: Staff Mobility in Faroe Islands
IHF organised a staff mobility to Faroe Islands in the framework of “Remote Regions in Adult Education: a resource for Europe” (AEERR), a Project co-financed by the European Commission within the Erasmus+ Programme, Key Action 1, Learning Mobility of Individuals.
AEERR Project is aimed at improving organisational, training and multicultural skills and competences of IHF staff and at disseminating awareness on EU issues in European ultraperipheral regions.
The mobility took place from August 28th to September 1st 2017, it involved two hosting partners in Torshavn and allowed to explore methodologies, needs and learning environment affecting organisations and learners in Faroe Islands.
Specifically, IHF staff visited the University of Faroe Islands – International Centre on August 28th, 29th and 30th to understand how higher education and interdisciplinary research is dealt with in Faroe Islands, with a special focus on Adult Education.
Afterwards, on August 31st and September 1st they visited the private company Green Gate.
Such mobility activities are very important for IHF staff to improve their knowledge and competences, and to foster EU awareness in European outermost regions.
