The DATA SCIENCE Consortium launched the DATA SCIENCE OER Platform

The DATA SCIENCE project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission, and brings together seven Partners from five countries (Italy, Spain, Austria, Romania and Belgium). The project aims to promote a career in data science among women by introducing curricula in data science in the European Universities that are collaborating in this project, to foster STEM disciplines and increase data science skills among female students.

The DATA SCIENCE official website will function as a repository of the project’s results and as the OER Platform for the project’s target groups so to facilitate their access to the DATA SCIENCE resources and training materials.

The Platform – available in EN, ES, IT, RO, DE – is the main showcase of project’s results and the most tangible channel for its visibility at international level. With its content completely available for free, without requiring any kind of registration/identification by the user, the DATA SCIENCE website is now online at https://datascience-project.eu/index.php

For the next two years, the Platform will host and integrate all the main achievements of the Consortium; each section of the DATA SCIENCE Platform is a stand-alone library of its corresponding output:

  • The “Framework” section includes the DATASCIENCE Framework, which is based on the methodology that will define basic and specific skills needed to integrate Data Science in the study paths of Human and Social Sciences (HSS – Human and Social Sciences).
  • The “Training section” embeds the training content together with accompanying resources such as operational cases, guidelines, good practices and glossary.
  • The “Guide” section contains the DATA SCIENCE Guide with information on possibilities and demands of the labor market on Data science, as well as useful information about career opportunities for data scientists.
  • In addition, the “Community” section is functional to the widespread impact of the project, as organisations interested in the project will be able to join the DATA SCIENCE community and become associated partners.
