IHF Participates in the Transnational Project Meeting of “Scouts4GreenApp” in Espinho, Portugal
The Erasmus+ project “Scouts4GreenApp” continues its mission to promote sustainability in vocational education and training (VET) with its 4th Transnational Project Meeting, held in Espinho, Portugal, and hosted by CEDEFOP. The two-day event brought together project partners from across Europe, including IHF asbl, to discuss project progress, final deliverables, and upcoming initiatives.
“Scouts4GreenApp,” co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission, aims to integrate ecological, economic, and social sustainability into VET. Through the project, learners and educators are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to contribute to a greener labor market and promote sustainable mobility practices.
During the meeting, participants reviewed the development of all project results achieved so far. A key focus was placed on the finalization and delivery of the project’s Training Curriculum, designed to enhance sustainability education in VET. Additionally, discussions centered on the launch of the EU SDG Challenge, an initiative that will engage VET learners on mobility programs in sustainability actions. This challenge encourages learners to present innovative ideas for making mobility experiences more environmentally friendly and aligned with sustainable development goals (SDGs).
The first day of the meeting provided an opportunity for partners to discuss the progress of the Training Curriculum, share updates, and finalize action plans for pending deliverables. The connection between curriculum development and digital credentials was reinforced, ensuring that the project’s learning outcomes are effectively aligned with modern educational requirements.
On the second day, discussions focused on project management, quality assurance, and dissemination activities. A detailed roadmap for the upcoming months was established, reaffirming the partners’ commitment to successfully concluding the project and maximizing its impact. The meeting concluded with a collective reflection on the project’s vision: “Go abroad for a learning mobility and act for sustainability.”
The event in Espinho marked a significant step forward for “Scouts4GreenApp,” setting the stage for the final project phases and the upcoming launch of key deliverables. IHF, along with its European partners, remains dedicated to fostering sustainable development in VET and empowering learners to make a positive environmental impact.
