HIGHER EDUCATION VIA NEW FINANCIAL TOOLS: IHF in Nottingham, UK, for the Closing Meeting of SHIFT, an Erasmus+ Project – September 17, 2019

IHF was in Nottingham, UK on September 17th for the Closing Meeting of SHIFT –  Strengthen Higher Education through Innovative Financial Tools), a Project co-funded by the Erasmus Plus Programme of the European Commission, Key Action 2, Strategic Partnerships for Higher Education.

SHIFT is implemented by a Consortium of 7 partners from 4 European countries (Belgium, Italy, Poland, United Kingdom). SHIFT developed and validate an innovative financial model to support Higher Education students in Europe.

During the meeting, Partners defined the last dissemination activities and closed all the Intellectual Outputs. SHIFT developed a fund that pools money from both public and private sectors, managing the finances to generate revenues to be redistributed to HE students in the form of grants and/or soft loans.

In addition, a Multiplier Event was held in the Business School of the University of Nottingham on September 18th in Nottingham in order to disseminate the project’s results in front of an audience made by academic world, micro-finance and stakeholders.

IHF is a non-profit organisation established in Brussels since 2003 and promotes collaborative networks with partners such as including non-profit organisations and local authorities for the provision of specialised training on European policies and the dissemination of values of European integration.
