June 25th, 2019
On June 20th, IHF presented the Multiplier Event of the ENSEMBLE project – “Expectation and Non-Formal skills to Empower Migrants and to Boost Local Economy” at Atelier du Soleil. With an audience of 35 representatives of the target group, including migrants, VET facilitators and trainers, the event was meant to spread the word about the project directly to the target group.
ENSEMBLE is a Project co-funded by the European Programme Erasmus+, Key Action 2, Vocational Education and Training, and is carried out by a transnational consortium of 7 Partners from Belgium, France, Italy, Macedonia and Spain.
Ensemble aims to empower migrants to self-assess their skills levels in order to overcome the disadvantage of traditional instruments that make the process of foreign credentials recognition frustrating particularly for migrants.
The project developed not-formal and informal learning (NFIL) mechanism, focusing on migrants’ needs, that will help VET’s educators to identify and assess the NFIL professional competences of migrant groups, allowing migrants to play a central role in the integration process.
IHF’s role in ENSEMBLE is to carry out dissemination, monitoring and exploitation of the project – since 2003, IHF has been concerned with the mission of increasing awareness on the European Union and function as a platform for exchange among practitioners from civil society, academia, public sector and industry on the many facets of European integration, also activating MasterProgrammes and educational initiatives to better instil the European spirit in EU citizens.
